MOTION MATCHING Mocap Collection.
This collections contains 139 animation files recorded at Quantum Stage with a high-end optical motion capture system. Shot for motion matching systems all animations follow standardized movement patterns, covering walks, jogs, runs and crouched walks with start, stops, turns and strafing in all 45 degree angles. Additionally there are also idles, idle breaks, dodges and more animations included. All files are from T-Pose to T-Pose meaning you get a ton of animation data to work with.

DATA OVERVIEW
For each of motion capture recording you get one file of the following type:
FBX file with skeleton and marker data at 100fps. + Prepared data at 60fps with frame reset and body/finger data combined.
BVH file format at source capture frame rate (100 or 150fps).
Raw optical marker data as C3D file.
Video reference footage in 4k, 25fps
Quad view combining playblast renderings with video reference as single video file.
Retargeted animation to the Unreal Engine 5 Manny and Metahuman m_med_nrw rigs.
Retargeted animation to the Unity 6 armature rig.
Retargeted animation to the iClone CC3 rig.
Retargeted animation to the Mixamo rig.
ANIMATION OVERVIEW
In total the 139 animation files consist of:
- 38 takes with detailed movement patterns:
- 6 circles
- 11 snakes
- 6 diamonds
- 8 squares
- 7 stars
- 29 Dance card takes
- 25 transition takes between different locomotion states and turns
- 12 idle takes with breaks and variations
- 11 takes with repositions
- 10 takes for locomotion loops
- 8 takes with interrupted movements
- 4 jump takes
- 3 dodge takes
Grouped by pose type:
- 30 walking
- 27 jogging
- 25 standing
- 21 running
- 14 crouching
- 10 strolling
- 8 various
- 4 jumping
Out of the 139 animation files:
- 54 clips were recorded with optical finger data
- 57 clips were recorded with StretchSense finger data
- 28 clips are without finger data
Each take comes with at least one video reference file that shows the actors performance. In total there are 159 video files:
- 139 videos in 4K @ 25fps (Sony Alpha 7R III)
- 17 videos in 720p @ 100fps (Vicon Vue Camera)
The production was shot over three days with the following capture rates:
- Body: 150fps (exported at 100fps)
- Body with optical fingers: 100fps
- StretchSense fingers: 120fps
Please note that these are raw and prepared motion capture animation files as FBX, BVH and C3D format. This is typically what you would receive from a studio for further use in a traditional post-production pipeline. The files just contain the skeleton with animation data and no mesh.
Additionally every animation take is also retargeted in a preview format for the following skeleton rigs: Unreal Engine 5 Metahuman m_med_nrw & Manny, iClone CC3, Unity 6 armature and Mixamo.
